San Fernando de Henares is a Spanish town located in the Region of Madrid 17 km to the east of the capital in the so-called Henares Corridor. It covers an area of 39.29 km² and is located where the rivers Henares and Jarama meet. Some of its township area is part of the Southeast Regional Park, a protected nature reserve. It borders to the west with Coslada; to the north with Paracuellos del Jarama; to the northeast with Torrejón de Ardoz; to the east with Alcalá de Henares, and to the south with Mejorada del Campo.
