The province has 288 townships and the second most important of them, after the provincial capital, is Azuqueca de Henares, the province's industrial centre. Furthermore, several of the towns in this province are relevant historical / artistic ensembles, namely: Atienza, Brihuega, Hita, Molina de Aragón, Palazuelos, Pastrana and Sigüenza. Guadalajara province is divided into several areas, which are: Alcarria, Señorío de Molina, Campiña and Serranía.
