Covering an area of 5,155.92 hectares, Villa de Vallecas is one of the 21 districts making up the city of Madrid. It is the second largest district in Madrid only after Fuencarral - El Pardo. The district is arranged in three quarters: Casco Histórico de Vallecas, Santa Eugenia and Ensanche de Vallecas. It borders to the south with Rivas-Vaciamadrid and Getafe; to the east with Vicálvaro District; to the north with Puente de Vallecas District, and to the west with Villaverde District.
