Corporación Financiera Alba is an investment company that was founded in 1986 and is listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange continuous market.

The company is part of the March Group, one of the main private business and finance groups in Spain. It is built on family capital, and additionally comprises Banca March and the Juan March Foundation.

Founded in 1926, Banca March is the biggest family-owned Spanish bank, and one of the healthiest finance entities, with the highest solvency ratio in Europe (Tier 1). Banca March is furthering its strategic business model, mainly centring on Private Banking, Major Corporations and Equity Banking, and focuses on family companies and business families, in addition to high income.

Created in 1955, the Juan March Foundation is a family owned, equity and operational institution which carries out its activities in the area of humanistic and scientific culture. The foundation organises art exhibitions, music concerts, conferences and seminars.

The origins of Corporación Financiera Alba lie with Cementos Alba, a listed Spanish cement company controlled by the March Group which started manufacturing cement back in the 1950's.

In 1986, Hornos Ibéricos, another cement works whose majority shareholder was the Holderbank group (now Holcim, Ltd.) bought its cement factories and concrete company branches.

As a result of the sale of its industrial assets, Cementos Alba changed its company name to Corporación Financiera Alba, and used the income from the sale to become an investment company with a wide-ranging portfolio of shares in industrial and service companies.

Since it was founded, Alba has always been an active investor, mainly in the domestic market and has held shares in benchmark companies.
